PeeWee Herman News

Paul Reubens, a.k.a. PeeWee Herman, born July 1952, Sarasota, FL. He got his acting debut on TV’s Working Stiffs in1979. The following year, Paul had a small part as the voice of the Pinball Machine in the movie Midnight Madness. Appearing in several movies such as Cheech and Chong, Blues Brothers, Pandemonium and Meatballs II, Paul didn’t introduce the world to his PeeWee Hearman character until 1985 on the television show 227. This would be the start of an American icon, and a near-cult status for PeeWee Hearman. That same year PeeWee had his first starring role in PeeWee’s Big Adventure. Followed by a spin-off Saturday morning television show "PeeWee’s Playhouse". Other movies would follow:   Big Top PeeWee and Back to the Beach just to name a couple. But in 1991, the PeeWee fun and fame would come to a crashing halt.Arrested for public indecency, PeeWee’s television show would be canceled. Then just a few short months later PeeWee showed up at the MTV music video awards show, and after a few one-liners, was never head from again. PeeWee had brought us such thought provoking phrases like "I know you are but what am I?", "Why don’t you take a picture, It’ll last longer", and finally "That’s my name, don’t wear it out". He also taught us valuable lessons such as "I meant to do that" and "Say it, don’t spray it!" But now all we have left are the memories. Hopefully they don’t scar us.

The wonderful PeeWee's Playhouse can now be seen in re-runs on the FoxFamily cable network!  Hope you all tune in and enjoy!

PeeWee will be returning to the big screen!! A new PeeWee adventure movie is in the works! I will post more details as they are available.
